DIVISION D CHAMPS!!!
I want to say we may not keep Stats at the 3/4 grade level when it comes to Basketball, but... I can say the stats that you remember at this age level are the games you won. That being said our 2016-2017 3/4 Girls are River Champs in their own right. The beat LaFargeville, Clayton, and Cape Vincent along with some others. But they are very proud of this. Coach Lorraine has done a wonderful job with these girls. These girls as they continue to grow and develop their skills are going to be a force to be reckoned with. Great job Little Lady Ghosts!!!

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS
Our numbers are low for Softball this year. We are having one more sign up for our Softball League.
Wednesday March 28th from 4:30-6:00 at the Town of Alexandria offices. Please come and sign up. If we do not receive enough girls to sign up, this does not mean you cannot play. It will mean We can try and transfer you to another local youth Commission, ie LaFargeville, Hammond, or Clayton to see if they can take the extra numbers. This would also not guarantee you playing with your friends. I do not want to have to do that so please come and sign up and show how great our Softball programs are. We are trying to field an 8U, 10U, and a 13U team.
Our Program for ages 7-13 is just around the Corner. The season officially kicks off the first weekend in May.
All sign ups will be at Town Meeting Room.
so that an introductory meeting with Players, Coaches and Parents can be scheduled the following week and then April starts the practices. Hope to see you. An Introductory meeting for Baseball/Softball will be at 6:30 PM on March 31st at the ACS in the MPR.
We are always looking for sponsors for our teams so that they can play a variety of sports, from Basketball and Baseball, to Soccer, etc. Some of our current sponsors are: Watertown Savings Bank, Big M Grocery, American Legion Post 904, Alexandria Bay Fire Department, Redwood Fire Department. As always we thank you and are very appreciative of all of our sponsors. Without you, there would be things our children/players would not have. If you are interested in sponsoring please see the letter by clicking the Sponsorship button below.
We are always looking for residence to volunteer for the Town of Alexandria Youth Program. We would also like to open up our Volunteering Opportunities to Juniors and Seniors of Alexandria Central who are in need of Volunteering/Community Service hours. We will be happy to sign a form for you showing your hours. If you are interested please contact us @ 315-484-0651 or 315-482-9519 ext. 3. Or you can email to email@example.com
How do I sign up?
Contact Scott Diange at the number below
What age do I have to be to play?
Age to play depends on the sport and the times of the year. Ages range from 4-13 in most cases.
How can I help?
You can contact the office at the number below. If you are interested in Coaching you must fill out a Volunteer application. You will also have a background check done on you. This is not to scare anyone away, but it is to make our kids safe.
What if there is nothing I or my children are interested in?
Please make a comment to the right. This will then be brought to the Youth Advisory Board and the Town Board so that'll that we can possibly implement your idea.
How can my organization be a sponsor?
Your organization can be a sponsor. All Businesses are welcomed, whether you want to be solely a team sponsor in which your Company/Business name goes on the uniforms and or you sponsor a sport where your name does not go on a uniform and you help purchase sporting equipment. Any donation is welcomed, but for a team sponsorship it would normally cost between $300-$500 based on uniform coasts and embroidery. Currently we have Basketball Sponsors and we are currently looking for some more Baseball sponsors. If you would like to sponsor or would just like some information please contact Scott Diange at the number listed above in the column to the left.
What if there are not enough players for my son/daughter to play for Alexandria?
Good question. What we would do if we did not have enough players, is that we would find ways for your child to play. Either allowing late sign ups, to enable us to possibly create a team. But if that does not work and we really do not have the numbers, we would reach out to the other local youth commissions, for example; LaFargeville, Clayton and Hammond. We would see what their needs are if they can use extra players, maybe their numbers are low as well. This is similar to what has been done with Football and Hockey in the past. This unfortunately we will and can not guarantee your son/daughter to be on the same team as their friend. For example if we have 5 players needing a team and say Clayton needs 2 players. They take 2 out of our 5, and the other 3 will go to another team. But at least it will afford them the opportunity to play.
We will be offering a variety of sports and activities this Spring and Summer. They are listed below.
Summer Swim Program
Summer T Ball
Keep an eye out for the sign up sheets. They will periodically be coming around school.
