LOVE YOUR DOG? LICENSE YOUR DOG!
All dogs are required to be licensed in the Town of Alexandria. Licensing helps the recovery of lost or stray animals and helps protect the public from rabies, since licensed dogs must have proof of vaccination.
A license is required even if the dog is always on the owner’s property, on a leash, always indoors, or lives on a farm. Dogs are required by law to wear their metal license tags.
